How Do You Repair A Driveway With Asphalt?
In a perfect world an asphalt driveway would last forever. However, water frost and the occasional pogo stick end up,taking their toll and your driveway needs some maintenance. Luckily, repairing and coating a driveway is not a difficult job if you have a feww hours to spend on a Saturday; just follow these steps. Cut away any grass or plant-life around the perimeter of the driveway. You’ll need about six inches to ensure enough room for the sealer to expand while drying. Clean out any cracks with a trowel. Do not dig up pieces that are still attach- only remove loose gravel. Sweep the the driveway to be sure it is free from anything that will impede the spreading of the sealer. Next flush out and cracks or holes with a regular garden hose. (No pressure washing is necessary). Fill up the cracks with sand. Make sure to leave about 1/2 inch for the filler.
