Removal of the washer top will be necessary to replace the gasket . Disconnect the front load washer from the wall outlet. Turn off the water supply to the washer by turning the water valves off by a wall. Pull the washer away from the wall enough that you can work behind it. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the three screws that secure the top panel to the rear panel. Lift the top panel up and remove it from the washer. Open the washer door and use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the spring clamp back and off of the groove of the door seal. Remove the spring clamp band from the washer.
