How Do You Render Marble Using Photoshop Filters?

Sometimes the goal of rendering is to make an image pop out at the viewer. Other times, the graphic artist wants to flatten the image in order to create something like polished marble. This can often be done by minimizing the number of shades in the image and lightening the image. Go to the “Filter” drop-down menu. Select “Render” and click “Difference clouds.” Repeat Step 1 until you have a relatively dark image. Go to the “Image” drop-down menu. Select “Adjustments” and click “Equalize.” Go to the “Image” drop-down menu and select “Adjustments.” Click “Shadow/highlight.” Set the shadows amount to 100 percent and the highlights to 0 percent. Go to the “Image” drop-down menu. Select “Adjustments” and click “Hue/saturation.” Set the hue to 140, the saturation to 22 and the lightness to +24.
