How Do You Remove Yellow Smoke Stains From Clothes?

0

Smoking or being around someone who smokes damages your health. It can also stain your clothing. Yellow stains from nicotine can form on fabric. Even clothing hanging in closets can become stained from someone smoking in your house. Some stain removal products and home remedies may remove the stains, but many can damage the fabric or wear it out faster. Organizations and universities that have tested stain removal treatments recommend use of products that are effective and safe for clothing. Mix 1 teaspoon of mild liquid dish detergent and 1 cup of warm water. Moisten an absorbent white cloth with the mild detergent solution and add 5 drops of white distilled vinegar. Place the cloth on the smoke stain until it’s gone. Rinse with lukewarm water and wash as usual. Mix 1/2 cup of warm water with 1/2 teaspoon of a presoak or laundry detergent with enzymes. Soak an absorbent white cloth with the enzyme solution and lay it on the stain for 1/2 hour. Rinse with cool water and wash as usual.
