You just finished the last of the wine from the crystal decanter for the party you threw. You set the crystal decanter on the kitchen counter until the morning. Much to your horror, after rinsing the crystal there are wine stains. Rock salt is a good cleaning agent to help with wine stain removal. There is a method using rock salt that will remove wine stains from your crystal decanter without harming the crystal. Pour around 2 full cups of rock salt into the wine stained crystal decanter. Be sure that you pour slowly, allowing a little at a time gently flow into the container. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the crystal decanter on top of the rock salt.
