How Do You Remove Windows Messenger With VBS?
Windows Messenger is the instant messaging system that comes with the Windows operating system. While it is a popular IM program, many people prefer other instant messengers, such as Yahoo Messenger or AIM, and are irritated that they are not given the choice of which IM program is designated as the default. Windows Messenger will start up whenever you log into windows, and even if you choose to ignore it, the program will pester you with a pop-up reminders to sign up for a Windows Passport account. It is not an easy program to delete, because it is not listed in the Add/Remove Programs app. However, you can download a VBS file that will uninstall Windows Messenger for you. Open a web browser. Navigate to Dougknox.com (see Resources), which holds the VBS download necessary to remove Windows Messenger. Locate a link labeled “Download” and click the link. This will download the file “xp_messenger_remove.vbs” to your computer. Wait for the download to finish, then find the downloaded file
