How Do You Remove Window Tint From A Car Window?

Tinted windows are a popular modification to any vehicle. But sometimes the tint will fade and turn purple, requiring a new tint job to get the right color. Of course, this can be pricey to pay someone to do. If you have the time, it’s more affordable to complete the task yourself. Park the vehicle outside so the windows are in direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area. Start with one side first. Then move to the other side. Pour the ammonia into a spray bottle. If the smell is too strong, dilute the ammonia with some water and wear a mask. Take the plastic bag and cut it down the seam with a razor blade so that it’s one large piece of plastic. Spray the inside of the window with the ammonia. Then place the black plastic bag on the inside of the window so the ammonia holds the bag in place. Ideally you want the bag to be wrinkle free, because this is going to keep the ammonia against the tint. Wait a few hours and then go back to the vehicle. Open the doors and let the ammonia vent out
