The Weather Channel offers a free download for your desktop that will give you weather alerts including current conditions, warnings and other weather related information. The alert always shows your current temperature on your desktop and with one-click will give you all the other information related to the weather in your area. The Weather Channel free alerts do come with some advertisements. Because of these advertising pop-ups, some people decide to remove the Weather Channel desktop download. While it is easy to download, it is not always as easy to remove. Go to “Start” on the bottom left hand of your desktop.
