Wax is one of the more unpleasant byproducts from using candles. As wax melts, it pools into a liquid. If you are not careful, you can accidentally spill this liquid on yourself or on a surrounding surface. If you spill wax on a wooden surface, you might be worried that it will be difficult to clean up and might ruin the wood. Luckily, it is simple to remove wax from your wooden surfaces. Pick away at the wax with your fingers to try to remove as much wax as possible. You can sometimes peel it away in layers until it is almost all gone. Place ice in a small plastic bag (a sandwich bag will work) and place it on the wax. Leave it on the wax for five to ten minutes in order to harden the wax as much as you can. Scrape the hardened wax off the wood gently with an old credit card. Come at the wax at an angel to try to get between the wax and the wood.
