How Do You Remove Wax From Ceramic Tile?

0

Ceramic tile is a popular choice for home decor. The wide variety of colors and patterns can make any room unique. Best of all, ceramic tiles are glazed, which makes them one of the easiest surfaces to clean. However, if you are trying to clean wax off a ceramic tile there are some definite dos and don’ts to the process to prevent that glazing from becoming scratched. Gently scrape off excess wax with the side of a spoon. Spoons, unlike forks and knives, are made with a rounder edge and will not scratch surfaces as quickly. Use this to remove heavy layers of wax. Soak a sponge in hot water, then press the sponge onto the wax and hold in place for 30 seconds. Then begin to scrub the sponge over the wax. Alternate between rubbing with the sponge and wiping the warmed wax off with a rag. Rub any remaining wax with an eraser as if you were literally erasing the wax. The rubber from the eraser will bond with the wax and you will be able to wipe it completely off the ceramic tile.
