Some people say to act quickly while the wax is warm and soft. Others like to use ice to make it brittle so it can be broken away. Get as much up as you can. Get your iron, and a roll of paper towels, or a large cotton cloth. Lay a towel or cloth over the wax stain on the carpet. Heat up the iron, not too hot, and start ironing the towel. The wax will melt and be absorbed by the towel. As each part of the paper towel or cloth is saturated with wax, move it around so a new dry part will soak up more wax from the carpet.
