How Do You Remove Wax From A Rug?
We all love candles, but it’s so easy to spill the candle wax. Yes, I know the frustration of trying to remove that ugly wax sitting on the top your carpet. If you ever spill candle wax on a rug, don’t fret. Here are the steps for removing wax from a rug. Begin by gently removing as much of the wax from the rug using your finger or butter knife. Be careful not to damage the pile of the rug. Fill your iron with water and plug it in. Be sure to set the iron on the lowest steam setting. Place your towel over the wax. Be sure not to fold the towel. Simply lay it flat over the wax. Place the iron on the towel over the wax. The steam from the iron will cause the wax to transfer from the rug to the towel. You may have to perform this step multiple times using a clean section of your towel. You will notice the spot disappearing with each attempt. Congratulations!
