Most candles are made of paraffin wax, a petroleum product, which can easily be cleaned, using a variety of oil-based solvents. Allow the wax to cool completely before trying to remove it. Hold the hard plastic scraper at about 30 degrees to the table, and push firmly against the wax spill. Repeat until all the large pieces have been removed. Unless the table top is textured glass, this will most likely remove all the wax, but it is possible that a thin film will remain.
