How Do You Remove Water Stains On A Marble Floor?
Marble is a natural material often used for kitchen and bathroom counters. While it appears to be a dense, solid material, it is actually very porous. Because of its porous surface, it is extremely susceptible to stains. Water, perhaps the most basic liquid of all, can even cause a troublesome stain on marble. Sometimes you can simply rub off a water stain with a wash cloth, but it typically takes a little more work. Buff the water stain with a #0000 steel wool pad in a circular motion until the water stain comes out. This grade of steel wool is extremely fine, so it will not leave scratches on the marble. Dampen a soft cloth with water. Rub the marble surface with the cloth to remove any residue left behind from the wool. Dry the marble with a dish towel. Make sure the surface is completely dry to ensure a new water stain doesn’t form.
