How Do You Remove Water Spots From Glass Dinner Plates?
Water spots are mineral deposits, like calcium, that remain on a surface after the water dries. If you wash glassware, such as dinner plates, in cold or warm water and allow them to dry naturally, they will develop water spots. You can avoid this by washing with hot water or drying the glass plate with a soft cloth. Rinse the plate with hot water. Pour a small amount of dish soap on a wet sponge and rub both sides of the plate. Rinse the soap off the plate with hot water. Let the plate air dry. According to Christina Spence in “No Hassle Housecleaning,” if you wash glass plates with hot water then there will be no waterspots or streaks if you air dry them. You can also dry glass plates with a soft cloth.
