Step 1 Rub a bit of toothpaste all around the fixtures, scrubbing any visible water spots and paying particular attention to any stubborn stains. Step 2 Mix the toothpaste with a bit of baking soda if the spots don’t come off easily. Continue scrubbing. Step 3 Fill the sink or tub with one part warm water and two parts vinegar. Step 4 Rinse off the toothpaste, using the vinegar solution. Step 5 Scrub the fixtures with the vinegar solution, rinse and dry with an old towel.
