How Do You Remove Wallpaper From Unprimed Walls?
Removing wallpaper from unprimed walls can be challenging. But with the right tools your walls will be wallpaper free in no time at all. Some wallpapers have an almost waterproof like coating over the paper so it is best to make holes with a scoring tool to create a path for deactivating the glue. With a wallpaper remover scoring tool, begin scoring the wallpaper using a side to side motion. Begin adding a mixture of vinegar and hot water together (about 2 tablespoons per gallon of water)and apply it over the wallpaper with a sponge. The hotter the better so use heavy duty rubber gloves. Come back in a half hour and apply another hot water and vinegar application. You should start to see the wallpaper beginning to lift from the wall surface. Next, begin pulling off wallpaper from the wall which should come off fairly easily. Use a scraper to help you. You may have a few stubborn places where the wallpaper backing remains sticking to the wall. Go over any remaining wallpaper backing spo
