How Do You Remove Virus Detection Programs?
It is important to have a virus detection program installed on your system. The software notifies you when you are under attack and when it blocks out an attempted threat. However, if you have found an updated, more advanced virus detection program, you no longer need the old software. In fact, having two virus detection programs installed at the same time can actually hinder your system because the two titles often see one another as a problem. Click the “Start” button on your desktop, followed by “All Programs.” Look through the program tabs until you find your virus detection program. Highlight the tab for the options to appear. If “Uninstall Program” appears, click it and follow step 2. If not, proceed to step 3. Click “Uninstall Program” and an uninstall wizard appears. Click “Yes” when asked if you are sure you want to remove the program and the saved files that go with the program. The computer now removes the program from your system.
