Whether your dog has decided to make the backyard his favorite place to pee or the neighbor kids are using your flower bed as their personal outhouse, getting rid of urine odor from dirt is a fairly easy process. Use a trowel to dig up the dirt in the affected area. This will help bring some of the urine to the surface of the soil. Combine a cup of baking soda with half a cup of water to create a paste. Use the trowel to apply the paste to the affected area of the dirt. Apply generously. Allow the paste to sit for a few hours. Water the dirt to wash away the baking-soda paste. Smooth over the patch of dirt with the trowel.
