How Do You Remove The Windows Security Alert Icon?

0

Windows Security Center was introduced with Service Pack 2 in Windows XP and is included in Vista and 7 by default (however in Windows 7 it is also known as Action Center). It helps users manage their security settings and protect the computer from threats. It constantly monitors the chosen security options and alerts the user if a problem is found. In order to remove the Windows Security Alert icon you will have to disable the Security center. Click the “Start” menu and then click “Run.” Type “services.msc” and press “Enter.” In Windows 7, type “Services” into the search box and click on the “Services” icon which appears. Double click “Security Center” from the list which appears and in the “Startup Type” dropdown box change from “Auto Start” or “Automatic” to “Manual.” Press “OK.” Restart the computer and the Security Center will only run if manually opened by the user.
