How Do You Remove The Stopper From A Bathroom Sink?

0

Many times if the drain is running slow in a bathroom sink, the solution will require the removal of the stopper. Some stoppers simply pull out of the drain, but some are attached to the pop-up assembly underneath the sink. This assembly can be a collection point for hair and other debris. Look under the sink and locate the tail pipe. This is the straight piece of pipe just below the sink bowl. Locate the sink stopper nut located on the backside of the tail pipe. There should be a rod protruding from the center of the stopper nut which attaches to the linkage of the stopper. Loosen the sink stopper nut and remove the stopper control rod. There should be a ball at the end of this rod. Once this rod is pulled out, the sink stopper should pull right out.
