to completely remove the door without breaking the handle housing slip two smaller flat head screw drivers where at the top and bottom of the base of the handle, the housing clips in there, pry gently up on the top and down on the bottom one and pull the housing out from the back of the housing cause there is also a clip in the front that slides out
