How Do You Remove The Oil Pan From A 3.9 Dodge Engine?

0

The oil pan is the container that holds the oil that lubricates the engine when you are driving your Dodge. You will need to get under the Dodge to access the oil pan on the under-side of the engine block. If you do not fix a problem with your oil pan right as soon as possible, you will run the risk of causing serious damage to the entire engine. This task will take you less than one hour to complete. Jack up the front of the Dodge and place it on jack stands. Get under the Dodge and place the oil container under the drain plug. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan with the ratchet set and drain the oil pan into the oil container. Replace the oil drain plug on the oil pan. Wipe off any oil, dirt or other debris that is on the oil pan and its securing nuts with a rag. Remove the oil pan’s securing screws from the oil pan with the ratchet set. Use the rubber mallet to hit the side of the oil pan gently until the oil pan disconnects from the engine.
