How Do You Remove The Navigation In A Lexus ES 330?
A Lexus ES300 has many available options, including a navigation system that is installed in place of the factory stereo. A navigation system is considered a luxury item, but you may not want it in your car. You can remove the navigation deck and replace it with another model, getting rid of the entire navigation system in the process. Slide a hook tool between the a/c controls and the dashboard. Then pull the tool toward you to release the clips holding it in place to the dashboard. Once it is out of the dash, unplug the wiring to the a/c controls, then set them out of the workspace. Unbolt the four bolts underneath the navigation unit using the 1/4-inch ratchet, extension and socket. Two of them are plainly visible in the dash, the other two are hidden up and behind the faceplate of the navigation head unit. Pull the navigation unit toward you to release the clips on the top of the stereo. Pull it toward you, then unplug all of the wiring and both antenna leads using your hands.
