How do you remove the mower deck on cub cadet gt1554?
Remove the spindle guards. With a 1/4 drive ratchet, pull the belt tension arm back and release the tension spring.This will allow you to remove the belt. Lower the deck to the lowest position.On the rear deck mounts on both sides is a pin holding the deck to the frame, with a tensioning spring on it. Lift the deck with a pry bar or long screw driver and pull back on the pin and it will release the deck. Do one side at a time.Simple. Then the front can just be lifted out of the bracket holding the front of the deck.You’ll have to loosen the nuts all the way out to the end of the threads on the front mount to reattach. Turn the wheels all the way to the left and slide the deck out on the discharge side.Remember you drop the deck rear first,then the front and reattach the same way. Remember to check the air in your tires and have the mower on a level spot before re=leveling the deck.
