In truth, removing the hand grips is much easier than it would appear and can be done in minutes. Unscrew the end caps from the hand grips by hand and set them aside. If the end caps are badly damaged or worn, replace them instead. Cut down the center of the hand grip with a razor. Cut completely through the grip to make removal easier. Pull the hand grip off of the handlebar or throttle tube once the grip has been cut.
