How Do You Remove The Front Panel Of A Whirlpool Stackable Washer?
Access to the drum and components of the Whirlpool stackable washer will require removal of the front panel. Unlike standard cabinet washers, the stackable washers require complete removal of the top panel and control console to access the screws for the front panel. This job generally takes two people. Also, many of the retaining screws on the Whirlpool stackable are Torx, so you will need a Torx driver set to remove the screws. If you do not own a set, you can purchase a Torx set at major hardware stores. Disconnect the power supply and the dryer exhaust duct from the back of the dryer, if there is a dryer on top of the Whirlpool washer. Ask an assistant to help you lower the dryer off of the washer and set the dryer away from the work area. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical wall outlet. Pull the Whirlpool washer three feet away from the rear wall. Remove the two screws under the rear lip of the top panel with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Lift the rear of the top panel up
