A free pop-up ad blocker is a great piece of software to have on your computer. But if it’s not working very effectively or you’ve since gotten another pop-up blocker, you probably want to remove the freeware from your computer. It’s easy to do and only takes a few minutes. Plus, you’ll free up some space on your hard drive. Click “Start” on your desktop. Choose “Control Panel.” Click on the icon for “Add/Remove Programs.” A new window will appear. Wait for the list to populate. Scroll down to find the name of the pop-up ad blocker you want to remove. It is listed alphabetically. Click on the name of the program, then click “Change/Remove.” Then choose “Remove.” Follow the prompts to authorize the removal, then click “OK.” Wait for the program to be uninstalled as referenced by a status window that will tell you it has been removed.
