How Do You Remove The Face Shield From A HJC Helmet?
HJC, one of the most recognized helmet brands in the motorcycle industry, offers a large line of helmets to fit the varying needs of the street rider or racer. Many motorcyclists, however, complain about the difficulty of changing shields to accommodate changing light conditions between day time and night time riding. To address this problem, HJC has implemented an easy to use system that allows the wearer to quickly remove the face shield without the need for tools. Newer models, such as HJC’s AC-12, CL-SP and CL-15, are equipped with an improved version of this system called the “Rapidfire” ratchet system. Place the helmet in front of you and open the face shield to its fully open position. Locate the gray locking arms on the face shield’s base plates and pull them toward the front of the helmet (causing the face shield to pop outward slightly).
