If you have grown tired of entering a BIOS password to access your Sony Vaio, you can easily remove it–provided, of course, that you know the current password. Restart your Sony Vaio. Input your current password when prompted. Begin tapping the “F2” key immediately at the Sony splash screen to enter the BIOS. In the BIOS, select “Setup.” Choose “Password.” Enter your current BIOS password and then select “Remove Password.” Select “Save Changes and Exit.” You will no longer be required to enter a password to access your Sony Vaio.
