Sometimes the tub gets clogged or stopped up with debris, in most cases with clots of hair and other materials. Flip the lever on the tub that controls the drain stopper into an up or open drain position. This is normally located beneath or on the bathtub faucet. Pull on the head of the stopper and wiggle it slightly to free it from the connecting hook in the drain pipe. Just wiggling back and forth slightly will free the stopper.
