The A-frames of a Hayward Aquabug each have 2 rollers at the top, which spin against the turbine and transmit power to the Aquabug’s pods and feet. This makes the pods and feet move up and down, propelling the cleaner around the pool bottom during the cleaning cycle. Here’s how to remove the A-frames. Turn the Aquabug upside down on the work bench to access the bottom of the cleaner. Remove the 5 stainless steel screws holding the bottom to the rest of the cleaner. Remove the bottom suction plate and the rubber throat and gently pull the bottom assembly out away from the rest of the cleaner. Set the bottom assembly feet side down on the work bench.
