How Do You Remove Taskbar Icons From Windows XP?

0

In Windows XP and all of the Microsoft operating systems (earlier versions such as Windows 2000, 98, 95 and later versions such as Windows Vista and 7), a convenient taskbar is built in to the desktop. Through this desktop taskbar users can access the Start menu, which holds shortcuts to system utilities, computer controls and programs, and can also add easily accessible program shortcuts to a special portion of the taskbar known as the “Quick Launch.” Removing the program shortcuts (or icons) from this area of the taskbar is not complicated. Right-click on the icon in your taskbar that you want removed. Select “Delete” from the context menu. Click “Yes” to confirm you want to remove the icon. Empty your Recycle Bin by right-clicking on it and selecting “Empty Recycle Bin.” Click “Yes” to confirm the deletion.
