How Do You Remove Tape After Painting On Glass?
Sometimes artists who paint on glass need an area to be clear of paint. Many artists use masking tape or art tape to block out areas on the glass that the artist does not want painted. This technique is effective and easy. Removing the masking tape from the glass does take a steady hand and some patience. Allow the paint to completely dry before removing any tape. Most acrylic paint takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to dry. Look on the back of the paint bottle to see how long to let the painted glass dry. Look for the end of a piece of the masking tape. Take the craft knife and gently pull up the edge of the tape. Stick the end of the blade into the end of the tape that has been separated from the glass. Poke the hole about a 1/2 inch from the end of the tape. This allows you to pull the tape up slowly. Pull back on the tape until it completely pulls away from the glass.
