How Do You Remove Sweat Stains From A White Shirt?
Sickly yellow sweat stains show up in stark contrast on white shirts. It’s not always easy to avoid these stains, especially during the hot, sticky days of summer. You can treat these stains easily on your white shirt, especially if you treat the stain as soon as you notice it and if the shirt is a washable fabric. If the shirt is dry-clean only, please contact a dry-cleaning professional for instructions. (You will probably need to take the item in.) Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide (available in the 3-percent strength solution at drugstores and grocery stores) with 1 part water in a measuring cup, as suggested by Mrs. Clean USA. Place the sweat-stained shirt in a clean sink. Pour the peroxide solution on the sweat stains. Let it soak for 30 minutes. Place the shirt in your washing machine. Launder it on a cold-water cycle with laundry detergent. Use a laundry detergent made for protein stains. Any detergent that states it contains protease enzymes, such as Tide original liquid, will do.
