How Do You Remove Sweat Stains From A Suede Cap Visor?
Anyone can work up a good head of sweat during a ballgame. Long after memories of the victory fade with time, the sweat lingers on in the form of stains on a cap visor. Suede visors require extra cleaning care to prevent the hide from drying out and cracking. Removing the stain takes a little scrubbing and common household products. A good leather polish will keep the cap and visor looking great for the next game. Fill a bucket half full with warm water and add liquid soap, stirring to make a frothy foam. Scoop out handfuls of foam only and work the suds into the sweat stain. Scrub the visor gently with a sponge to remove the dried sweat and odor. Dry the suede visor with a clean towel and leave the cap to air-dry. Apply a small quantity of leather wax to a clean cloth and rub it into the suede visor. Draw a nylon-bristle brush across the visor to bring up the nap on the suede.
