How Do You Remove Super Glue Stains?
Super Glue bonds to an object almost instantly, which is why the glue hardens so quickly. It can be troublesome, though, if it accidentally gets stuck to your fingers or stains an object. Even though Super Glue bonds are strong, they can be broken with acetone. Acetone is found in some fingernail polish removers, and is a fast way to remove Super Glue stains. Clean up any excess glue from the accidental spill with a paper towel. Soak the object with warm, soapy water. Rub off as much of the glue as possible with your fingernail. Wet a cotton swab with acetone fingernail polish remover. Dab it on the glue stain until it dissolves. Test the nail polish remover in a small area to make sure it does not destroy or discolor the object or fabric. Rub the stained spot with a toothbrush until the glue begins to flake off.
