Whether it’s Super Glue, Krazy Glue, or any other brand name, cyanoacrylate is a stubborn adhesive that is very difficult to remove from your countertops. Nevertheless, it somehow finds its way out of the tube and on places where it shouldn’t be. Luckily, a few methods allow you to remove these glue spots without too much trouble. Use a rag to dab the glue If you have just spilled the glue and it hasn’t set completely. Avoid wiping, as it may just spread the spillage around. Don’t use tissue; the fibers will cling to the glue spot. Apply the acetone to the dried glue on your countertop. Give it a few seconds to soak in before testing the glue with the scraper or razor blade to see if it has softened or if you are able to chip off flakes of the glue. Use more acetone as needed.
