How Do You Remove Sunscreen Stains From Concrete?
Sometimes in the excitement of getting outdoors for a game of Frisbee or a trip to the beach or pool, you might accidentally drip sunscreen onto places other than your body. Sunscreen can leave a stain on substances such as concrete. You don’t have to consider the stain permanent, however. By following a few simple directions, you can remove sunscreen stains from your driveway or sidewalk fairly quickly and easily. Rinse the stained area with cool water. Apply a few squirts of dish detergent to the area. Add 1/2 cup of bleach per square foot of stained area. If you don’t want to use bleach because of its harsh nature, try a few tablespoons of baking soda. Use a nylon-bristled brush to scrub the area that is stained. Allow the area to soak in the cleaning agents for five to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. Try using a power washer to clean the area if the sunscreen stain doesn’t come off after completing the previous steps.
