How Do You Remove Sticky Tape From Vinyl?
Sticky tape is hard to remove from many surfaces. Removing it from vinyl tends to be especially tricky. Adhesive tends to remain on vinyl even after tape or a label is removed. The sticky mess is often a problem when store labels or price stickers are removed following a purchase of vinyl window sills or flooring. Remove tape and the adhesive it leaves behind using white vinegar, or purchase one of the many adhesive removers available at most hardware or lawn and garden stores. Peel off any sticky tape that is loose from the vinyl. Mix one part water with two parts white vinegar in a bucket. Apply to the sticky tape on the vinyl. You can also use adhesive remover. If using adhesive remover, apply it to the tape in the same manner as the vinegar solution. Soak the sticky tape with the vinegar or adhesive removal. Allow the solution to remain on the sticky tape for one to two hours. This gives the solutions time to break down the adhesive. Scrape the sticky tape from the vinyl using a pu
