Douse a cloth with a citrus-based adhesive remover and rub it on the label. Make sure you really soak through the label with the adhesive remover. Use the edge of a sharp craft knife to pick up a corner of the label. When you lift the label, ensure that you pick up the adhesive layer along with the front of the label. Pull up the rest of the label with the craft knife until it comes loose from the surface it is applied on. Stop pulling the label if any of the adhesive is left behind.
