How Do You Remove Sticky Label Glue From Fabric?
Children are often awarded stickers to be worn on their clothing such as stickers of praise when attending elementary school or daycare, birthday stickers, etc. Sometimes removing the sticker is missed and the article gets washed leaving a gummy sticky stain on the clothing. All is not lost! It is possible to remove the label glue from the clothing to save the garment. Follow these directions to remove the sticky label glue from the clothing. Using a plastic knife, spread a thick coating of peanut butter on the gummy area. Let the item absorb the peanut butter oil for at least ten minutes. The oil will loosen the gummy residue left by the sticker that was washed prematurely. Take a clean plastic knife and scrape the peanut butter off of the garment. As the knife scrapes across the fabric it will also pick up the gummy label glue. Wipe the knife clean with a paper towel after each stroke.
