How Do You Remove Sticky Glue From Clothes?
The glue residue left on clothing after stickers are removed doesn’t have to be a pain to get out. Sometimes washing the clothing isn’t enough, and when that happens, you’ll need to break out the big guns and use a little elbow grease to keep from permanently staining your clothes. Spray the glue residue on your clothing liberally with stain remover like Zout, Shout or Spray and Wash. Allow it to soak into the fabric for up to two hours. Wash the clothing using the highest water temperature allowed for the fabric. The warmth of the water will help break down the consistency of the glue and dissolve it during the wash cycle. Inspect the stain after washing. Do not just throw the clothes in the dryer, since the remaining glue residue, if any, will melt and bake into the fabric, making it impossible to clean in the future. Saturate a cotton ball with Isopropyl alcohol and rub gently at the glue while the clothing is still wet. Isopropyl alcohol helps break up stubborn glue stains. Repeat
