How Do You Remove Start Programs In Windows XP Professional?

0

In Windows XP Professional edition, startup programs are programs configured to launch automatically when you start your computer. They include programs such as messenger, media players, antivirus and spyware removal programs. The more startup programs you have, the more memory your computer uses, the slower your it takes to launch. Fortunately, Windows XP Professional includes a built-in utility that enables you to remove startup programs easily. Close all the programs that you are currently using. If some of the programs freeze and refuse to close, launch the task manager by pressing “Ctrl,” “Alt,” and “Delete” together. Click the “Processes” tab. Scroll down and click the process belonging to the program that you want to close, and then click “End Process.” Close the task manager. Launch the Systems Configuration Utility by clicking the Windows “Start” button, clicking “Run,” typing “msconfig” (without quotes) in the open box, and then clicking “OK.” You should see a series of tabs
