Aluminum clad window trim is strong, durable and can be engineered to make tight window seals. Painted aluminum is easy to care for and only needs to be washed with soapy water regularly to remove surface dirt. Unpainted aluminum can develop stains and a cloudy appearance over time. Pits and scratches in the aluminum attract grease and grime that can be more difficult to remove. Use the following methods to remove stains from aluminum clad window trim. Wash the trim with warm water mixed with a strong detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Remove grease spots with aluminum jelly or a cleaner with solvent in it that is made for use on aluminum. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
