Windows Defender is a free program designed to scan your PC for spyware and remove any suspicious software. You can run a quick scan in Windows Defender to check for the most likely spyware hideouts on your computer. A full scan will check all the files and programs on your computer. If any spyware software is located, Windows Defender will remove them from your files. Open Windows Defender. Click “Start,” type “Windows Defender” in the search field then press “Enter.” Click “Scan.” Once a suspicious program has been moved to a quarantine folder, you can remove it clicking the “Tools” button then click “Quarantined Items.” For each quarantined item, click “Remove.” Open Windows Defender.
