Ceramic stove tops, while attractive, can show spots easily. Spilled food and marks from cookware are the most common reasons for spots to occur. On a white ceramic stove top, the spots may look brown or even black. On a black ceramic stove top, the spots may look dark with flecks of white spots. If you attack the spots as soon as you see them, they will remove easily. Wiping down your ceramic stove top after each use can cut down on the amount of spots or staining that may occur. Hold your razor blade at a 45-degree angle, and scrape as much of the spots from your ceramic stove top as you can. Use gentle pressure so that you don’t scratch the ceramic. Apply a few drops of ceramic cleaner directly onto your stove top. Scrub the ceramic cleaner with your sponge. Allow the cleaner to set for a few minutes first.
