Repairing speakers can be a tedious task. Without a steady hand, it is easy to permanently damage a speaker. When replacing the speaker cone or working on its voice coil, it is necessary to remove the speaker’s dust cap. You can either destroy the dust cap while removing it and then replace it with a new dust cap, or you can gently remove it and reattach it after you are finished working on your speaker.
