Sharpie markers are a convenient way to leave a lasting mark on items that you want to apply a permanent label to. However, the lasting quality of these markers is less appreciable when you have accidentally stained a favorite piece of clothing. Despite their reputation for being permanent, Sharpie marks can often be removed with the proper process. Though these permanent marker stains may not come out of all pieces, you shouldn’t give your garment up as lost before giving a simple stain removal process a shot. Remove the stained clothing as soon as possible and do not wash, dry or iron before attempting to remove the stain. Turn the item inside out so that you are working with the inside of the fabric and pushing the stain out, rather than working the stain through the fabric from the outside.
