Accidentally make a mark with a Sharpie on your new pants? If you act fast, you can make that stray mark disappear. Treat the item as soon as possible after the mark is made. Even an hour or two can make a difference. Lay the item out flat with the mark on top. Using any hairspray, squirt the spot until it is wet. With a paper towel or bathroom tissue, blot the spot. Use a clean area of the tissue and continue to blot. Repeat step 3 if needed. When no more of the mark comes off by blotting, it’s time to use soap. Dampen the bar of soap with water, and rub it directly on the spot. Allow it to set for a minute or two. Turn the item over so that the BACK of the fabric with the spot is facing up. Turn it inside-out, if necessary. Run water at full blast from a faucet. If the mark is fresh, (less than an hour or two old) use hot water. Otherwise, use cold water.
